Our company is proud to have been selected manufacturer for the construction works and furniture design and manufacturing for the prestigious and the oldest bookstore in Europe – the Matras Bookstore, located at Main Market Square 23 in Kraków, Poland.

Matras, a legendary Polish bookshop chain, was one of the oldest bookstores in Europe, with origins tracing back to 1610. It became a significant cultural and historical institution in Poland, offering a wide range of literature, including works by Polish authors and international classics.

The project included the production and installation of custom furniture designed to respect the historical character of the building while meeting modern retail requirements. Special attention was given to material selection, furniture detailing and integration with the existing architectural elements of the bookstore.

Our scope of work covered bespoke shelving systems, display furniture, seating areas and interior fit-out elements tailored to the unique layout of the store. The objective was to create a comfortable environment for customers while maximizing product presentation and maintaining efficient store operations.

This project demonstrates our ability to deliver high-quality shopfitting solutions for cultural institutions, bookstores and premium retail environments.
